I?ve hunted several hours over the past week and fell into a slump, didn?t find much at all but it?s partly my own fault.? The area I hunted the most, a very good producing find field, slopes gently into a flat area near a stream that was a large pond, even the dirt is dark here.? But I thought I would take the good with the bad and hunt it anyway but it?s very dead there.? Gave up and went to another field, still rough plowed leg breaker and found the following finds:
A brass ring, two musket balls and an odd thing.? I thought it was a musket ball but it looks more like an eye for a doll baby or something, not sure what the black stone is but the outside seems to be lead.

The obverse of a 1705 small silver 1 Kreuzer coin.? You can barley make out the date at the 11:00 position.? My prized coin find, found a few other crusty coins as well but they?re junk.

Reverse of the 1705 with the German Lion in the middle, I think it?s Bavarian but not sure, couldn?t find it in my book.

Doing some research, I found this tunnel exit.? It was an escape tunnel for a castle about 1 mile away where I have requested all the land around it on my detecting permit which I have yet to receive after more than 2 months.? The tunnel looks partly submerged from the build up of the road.? I?ve been in the tunnel near the castle, a very dangerous place to be as parts of it are falling in but I just had to go in.? Have some pics of the castle tunnels that I can?t find right now buried deep on the hard drive.? HH and thanks for looking, Mike? ?

PS

are you sure that coin's not a "Dutch Stuvier"?

I know they have a Lion and crest on the rev.

I have bought/sold many of them.

Hey Lonewolf, they look similar but I'm sure it's German, the 1 KR on the obverse means 1 Kreuzer. HH, Mike

Nice Site there Mike. About the only thing on this side of the Pond that comes close is Disney World. LOL The Piece with the Black Stone is interesting to say the least. Great Coin too. HH
