YIKES! Did it say where the Hand of Faith nugget was found? Was it Australia, like the other one? Cool that it was found with a detector just 6 inches down. If I got a hit that big, I'd probably think it was a buried appliance or something and ignore it. Just goes to show - DIG EVERYTHING! Which casino?

John Ascuaga (sp?) used to have a solid gold rooster on display at The Nugget in Sparks, Nevada years ago. I thought it was great, but compared to this Hand of Faith nugget the rooster pales in comparison. The stuff dreams are made of........

Nice pictures, I always wondered where that huge nugget ended up! Was worth over $600K when found and worth almost $900k today. I have an Australian gold coin with the Hand of Faith on it, not a find unfortunately, LOL. HH, Mike

Lets see now, take a 3d picture, autocad it,cast a lead copy ,heavy gold plate it ,diversion and switch. My luck someones done it before me and only put a thin plate on it.

That's what you call a find, would love one day to go nugget hunting in Australia. Read plenty of articles on it over the years sounds great. Just to find one tiny nugget would be amazing !. Could try panning in Scotland but Australia sounds much better.
