I didn't get out for as long as I thought I was going to today. The wife has been sick and I ended up taking her to the urgent care right mid-way through the day ~ but I ended up sneaking out again until dark! I managed to do some digging even with the short day of detecting. I found two sterling silver rings ~ seven wheat cents 1940-S 1942-D 1950 1951-D 1953-S 1957-D & 1957-D ~ 78 memorial cents ~ 5 nickels ~ 42 clad dimes ~ 22 clad quarters, and one of those cute little aluminum play coins that reads THIN DIME PLAY COIN with a image of a cup of coffee on both sides. The two silver rings are both pretty good size ~ the plain band fits nicely on my middle finger, while the other one with the cool looking tribal design is so big that it doesn't even fit on my thumb! I bet it weights 10 grams!

Unfortunately a lot of the ground around the University of Oregon is fill dirt now. Both of these rings weren't very deep ~ only two or three inches deep.
