I met Ron and Richard downtown today for several hours of metal detecting. Ron dug a 1954 Silver Roosy dime and Richard found a 10K class rings from 1976! Here's what I found:

110 Memorial cents (not pictured)
52 clad dimes
9 clad quarters
5 nickels
5 wheat cents ~ '42-S, '42-D, '48-S, '53-S, & '57-D
1961 Silver Canadian dime

I tumbled the dimes, nickels, & quarters already before I took their picture!

Nice bunch o'coin there..amazing how many dimes are lost!

I dig the memorials if they're easily retrievable..they can really add up..I banked over $50.00 worth last year.

LOL ~ HA HA HA!!! Yeah, I was getting a little irate at all the Memorial cents, but for every two I dug I was also digging a dime. Those dimes sure can add up! Then I finally saw a glimps of silver ~ but it was a 1961 Canadian dime ~ not bad!

Nice haul OC.
Congrats on the silver. I don't know much about Canadian coins, so am going to ask a stupid question.....
Are the Canadian coins silver at 1964 and older just like the U.S. coins?
Where were they minted?
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Thanks,
MM
