Were there lots of musketballs and other finds made? Or were the three coins the reason you thought that it was a virgin spot? Sounds like some previous hunter has a mean streak... Pretty unfortunate. With diggin', there are ALWAYS better days to come.

I thought virgin. He was ony there for a few minutes before dark and pulled these out. A trip back there might be warranted.
