I found this cool GAR Badge today.(Grand Army of the Republic) A fitting find for a Memorial day weekend.
The GAR was an association of Civil war veterans. The last member died in 1956.
I also found two Mercs, a war nickle and 14 wheat's.

It registered in the high silver range. No markings but I believe it is.

That is honestly the FINEST G.A.R. badge I have ever seen--in person, or on the net.

I can't really say any more than that. Wow.

That G.A.R. badge is beautiful. If I found that, I would keel over and speak in tongues.

That is a fine piece of ephemera. I think that the early Alaska reference and the ironclad only sweeten the deal.

Very nice find, especially if it is silver.

Plehbah - "Ephemera" refers to paper collectibles. Not trying to be a know it all but I just thought you might want to know.
