Edit:
This is not a verse thread.
I have only used the Explorer SE for 2 days and I see that the machine rips coins out of the ground/turf with amazement, and I don’t have to dig hundreds of zincs. Now that’s something to say, it deserves every bit of the 5 star rating it has.

It took me 6 months to grasp what the GB2 was telling me, and have used it exclusively for about 4 ½ years.

My finds from weekend, exclusively using my GB2:

My mentionable GB2 finds are three gold:
1 gold bracelet
1 gold chain link
1 gold earring with stones found at Beach Park

And my finds from this past weekend, exclusively using my ML SE
1 silver dime
5 wheats (one is not pictured because it fell along the parking brake lever in my car).
1 Sac Dollar
1 New Dollar coin
1 Applause Token
1 junk ring
Close to 13 bucks in clad.

nice finds! The minelab Explorer SE sure does wonders! Finds really nice stuff too!

Thanks.

It took me 6 months to grasp what the GB2 was telling me, and I have used it exclusively for about 4 ½ years. I found all that with the Explorer SE in only 2 days, WOW. The machine rips coins out of the ground/turf with amazement, and I don’t have to dig hundreds of zincs.

Now that’s something to say. It should do great on gold ring in fields as far as I can see. I can say that it has proved to me in only one day and that it deserved has a 5 star rating, as it does. This is not a verse thread. I will still use my GB2 in the places that it is suited for, and that is not in the grass/turf.

Hey, Anthony, I'm glad you're getting to like the SE. It's a powerful machine in the hands of an md'er who put their dues in the field with it. I can see you're catching on very quickly. I think those tiny pieces of gold you find with your GB2 will be a little difficult to find with the SE, but gold rings should be no problem.

Congrats to adding another powerful detector to your arsenal! Dang, I'm getting more competition in S. CA turf. ;D
