Been on the pasture field again today, made a few finds and managed to get wet through. The first find was a very worn William and Mary copper half penny 1694. During the session I had a steady flow of small musket balls, does any one have any info on these ?. Just before the heavens opened I found a Queen Victoria 1892 penny in good condition, with a very nice patina. Hope to get a few hours detecting late tomorrow afternoon, will keep you posted.

Regards Robert.

Too small for musket balls from a long nosed musket rifle. They are typically about 16mm in diameter. They could be pistol shot.

Congrats on the coin!
