In the buggy house out back, filling in dog holes I saw this lil guy and decided to clean it up so I could post it.
Looks like a button from a pair of overalls or jeans maybe a backpack, the back is just a rusty post as one would find on a denim type button.
Could be anywhere from 1864-2008 since this property has been occupied and worked during that time frame.
