Civil War Era Sutler Token
A buddy of mine dug this up and I think it is a rare Sutler Token. The 39th USI was a Black regiment from the CW era. I have found two tokens like it searching the Internet...a 10 cent and a 50 cent, but no 25 cent tokens. The 50 cent was a dug token which sold for $1025.00 and the 10 cent is rated an R-9 on rarity. Any thoughts as to the rarity or possible value of this one?
Thanks,
Jim

There ended up being several serious collectors who knew what a unique find this was and it was sold for well over $1000. I think there may be a new detector in my buddy's future.
