I found a 2 1/2 cent Gold & Rhodius. Converse texas trade token. Does anyone happen to know the age of it?

According to the 1984 Second Supplement to the Trade Tokens of Texas, Gold & Rhodius are listed in the 1914 Texas Gazetteer as general merchants. However, 2½¢ is a rather unusual denomination for a general store - pool halls used it mainly. Nice find! Consider posting pics to tokencatalog.com

Gold & Rhodius are listed in the 1912 Bradstreet as well as the 1918 & 1928 Dun as a general store. Quite a long-lived partnership.

Then i guess it would be safe to date the token to the early to mid 1900's. This is great. I also found a San Antonio bus fair token from the same site and I think it dates from the 40's or 50's. Thanks again for the help.

Sitting here looking at a city bus token. Dates from the 30' to the 50's, sold at the fleas and gun shows and sells for about $3-$5...

Herman H. Gold & Otto Rhodius were general merchants in Converse from at least 1912-1940. Otto Rhodius was listed as a general merchant in the 1910 census, but Herman Gold was not found.

Here are the references I found to draw this conclusion:

1910 Census (Justice Precinct 4, Baxter Co., TX): Otto Rhodius, merchant/general merchandise store
1912 San Antonio CD (City Directory): Otto Rhodius & H.H Gold, Converse
1914 San Antonio CD: Otto Rhodius & H.H Gold, Converse
1915 San Antonio CD: Otto Rhodius & H.H Gold, Converse
Herman H. Gold was appointed Postmaster of Converse, TX Oct. 28, 1914. He listed his occupation as Postmaster in Converse on his WWII draft card.
1918 Draft Card: Otto Rhodius, merchant, Converse
1920 Census (Justice Precinct 4, Baxter Co., TX): Herman H. Gold, retail merchant/general store
1920 Census (Justice Precinct 4, Baxter Co., TX): Otto Rhodius, retail merchant/general store
1930 Census (Justice Precinct 4, Baxter Co., TX): Herman H. Gold, merchant/general merchandise
1930 Census (Justice Precinct 4, Baxter Co., TX): Otto Rhodius, general merchant/general merchandise
1940 Census (Justice Precinct 4, Baxter Co., TX): H.H. Gold, proprietor store/postmaster/post office
1940 Census (Justice Precinct 4, Baxter Co., TX): Otto Rhodius, proprietor/retail store

Would you mind if I posted your image on the TokenCatalog site?
