So it looks like this is from Newark, OH - I'll let the fellows who are working on a new edition of the OH token book know. Thanks for posting it on tokencatalog!

Neil--it is already on the site but under "unknown". As soon as I get an okay from the OH Cataloger on the Newark attribution, I'll edit it to there.

Thanks for the quick attribution, John. I'm hoping to post several more mavericks to Tokencatalog.Com this afternoon.

Great find. The brass two cent and an aluminum penny are listed in the new 4th edition of the Edkins Coal Company Tokens catalog as R-10.

Intimer--I hear that the Edkins 4th Edition says this is from Dixie. Is that correct?

Was it ever determined for sure where this is from? I only collect Indiana, so will probably list it on ebay once I have an exact attribution. I've been listing many mavericks on tokencatalog.com.
