Dug this token In Biloxi, Mississippi a few weeks ago near an old hotel.
Was wondering if anyone had any info on it.
I did see tokencatalog had a P.M. FISKE token listed from New York, but this one looked nothing like it.
Thanks for looking

Philip M Fiske was appointed postmaster of Ship Island on June 24, 1869. The post office was discontinued March 30, 1870.

This is the only reference I find.

Do you mind if I post the image on the TokenCatalog.com website?

im assuming you mean ship island, in Mississippi off the coast of Biloxi?
would you mind revealing your source.
If so that would be great news. Especially if this token could possibly be a local.
i don’t mind if you put it in the catalog, but how would you atttribute it.
thanks for your help.

Yes, Ship Island off of Biloxi. The information came from Ancestry.com, record of appointments of postmasters for Harrison County, handwritten ledger.

Thanks for responding.
i found another website called postal records.com that has a post office listed at ship island Mississippi between 1862-70.
now the big question is who was Phillip M Fiske, and what did he do after 1870...
