Mr. Schulz
My Homemade water Detecting machine
What a catchy title! lol. Well last night at about 10:00 I got a spur of the moment decision to take this old $50 offbrand detector I have that has a waterproof coil, and turn it in to a perfect shallow water detector. The original poll was very very short and was at its full length. Well I took the pole off of a old broom, drilled a hole for the coil at the bottom, drilled the mount spots at the top for the control unit, and ran the wire up to the coil. Your probably thinking, well whats the point? Well I was able to make this 2 foot metal detector, and turn it into a 4 foot water detecting machine. (No it isn't my only detector, I own a Bounty Hunter also). I'll post pics when I get home. Im going detecting at three swimming holes tomorrow, so im looking forward to using this. Happy hunting!
