I broke a couple before I got a Lesche. Buy a Lesche and you will never need another.

That is definitely going to break, no question, its not if but when. When it does, buy a Lesche and it will be the last digger you buy.

Personally I prefer the Gator Razor Edge digger. It removes dirt from deep holes better than the Lesche, and has a narrower blade so it is easier to make smaller diameter holes. They were improved a couple of years ago and carry a lifetime warranty. I had to sharpen mine when new, but in forty plus years of digging it is the best I have used.

I bought a hori-hori digger through Amazon. half the price of a Lesche and seems very well built. Been using it for a couple of years now and have yet to sharpen it!

I like the hori hori designs, but its hard to find one that isnt all buggered up with a scale and semi-serrated, useless teeth on the side. I have a Lesche, and I hate the offset. They are mass-produced, and dont fit the hand well. I'm thinking I will be making my own soon.

I would go with a Lesche as well....I wouldnt say its the last one you will ever need. But I used the hell out of mine for 4 years before I cracked the blade...So i think I got my 40 bucks worth.

The Garrett ones I always hear break at the handle, which is no good

Nothing lasts forever

the new Ironclad Viking digger looks like it would never break on you...made in Canada - try it, and see if it won't go through some tough digging, like a warm knife thru butter!!
