I've seen some people using the Fiskars garden knife/digger, but with the forked end. Since I'm not using mine to pull dandelion roots I ground off the fork, sharpened the tip, and tapered the knife-edge down the sides. Might serrate the other side soon since I prefer to saw my cutouts. Also considering adding a neodymium magnet to the top of the handle after seeing someone else's.

I also sandblasted the knife to make it smoother, but as a result I have to oil it every once in a while to keep the rust off.

Very nice and I think I will steel the idea if you don't mind.

No problem, whatever works I'm always making modifications/improvements to existing products to suit my needs

I have the magnet on mine. I think it was mine you seen :icon_thumright: I really like your idea of taking off the fork end. Funny how that little fork at the end stops from getting the dirt out of the hole...

I got mine done. I hope it works as well as it should. I didn't make mine as pointy but it should work great

I like this re-design. I kept some length on mine by removing only one of the fangs :
