Cool video. Looks fun. Ever consider setting up a sluice box. Seems like panning takes more labor then running dirt through a sluice.

Nokta FoRs Gold, a Gold Cube, 2 Keene Sluices and Lord only knows how many pans....not to mention a load of other gear my wife still doesn't know about!

Seems like panning takes more labor then running dirt through a sluice.

Can't speak for Jeff, but where he's at there's areas that are "Bedrock Heaven",
and it takes a load of work to get a 5 gal. bucket filled up. I use 3 gal buckets
and rarely would I get more than a couple filled with dug out of bedrock cracks
and from areas opened up with chisel and hammer. If'n ya ain't tried it, it's

Any material gleaned by busting out bedrock is getting panned..that's
the fun part! :occasion14:

Understood. That does sound like fun. To each his own. You pan for gold, I dive for mystery treasure. As long as we are having fun, it's all that matters.

I do enjoy running a Sluice but seeing that Gold pop up in your pan after all the work of busting open a Crevice is the payoff !!!!!!

Very true !!!! I do enjoy running a Sluice but seeing that Gold pop up in your pan after all the work of busting open a Crevice is the payoff !!!!!! I can tell you also enjoy seeing the Gold show itself in your Pan !!!
