Writer seeking input

Hi!

I'm a writer, working on a story for a national family magazine about great beaches in the U.S. I'd love to include a beach where families can try their hand at treasure hunting with moderate success -- a place where they have a good chance of finding *something* on their visit. Is there a particular beach you'd recommend? A spot where they can have some fun, learn a little, and score a small find? I realize there are no guarantees, but I'd like a beach where others have had successes in the past.

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it!
