I am new to detecting but I live in Kingston PA. My father told me this tale some time ago and i plan on getting up there and poking around very soon. You say that you no longer believe that there is any money on the mountain but in your research do they claim to have recovered all the money? Even if it was mostly paper money all it takes is one 20$ gold piece for us to strike at rich.

Im suprised that no one has noticed the bigest researching resource that could be looked at. Has anyone looked at the report from the Pinkerton Detective? I'll take a look and follow up to the thread.
