Hey Jeff,
I was told by an old timer in Perry County that some coins were found back a long crawl-space in a spring house.
This spring house is still there,,,along RT 34 ,,past the "Pandemonium" bar,, on the right.
You can see it easily from the road.

Jeff,
Is that cave location still known? If so has anyone every checked it out? This story is from 1880 and with new technology today it is well worth investigating.

I've lived here for 20 years with my mom and dad, unfortunately there's definitely no crawl space in there I used to play in the pond in front as a kid. If anything was in there it was most likely dug up in the 1940s when the current spring house was built, it's got the date stamped into the foundation. We're getting ready to refurbish it soon and have to dig out the foundation to improve drainage so I'll update if we find anything!
