April 28, 1899 Lebanon Daily News from Lebanon, Pennsylvania ·



While Picking Coal on the Lebanon & Tremont Railroad at a Curve Near Tremont,
Thursday afternoon, Julius Miller, an aged carpet weaver, of that place
was, decapitated by the Pine grove freight train,of which
Frank Kline, of Tower city, is conductor. Miller's head and left arm were severed from the trunk by the train, which was on its way to this city. He was 77 years old and lived alone, being a bachelor.
sewed in his clothing were $50O in bank notes. He was supposed to be poor.

being a Carpet Weaver,
sewing Money into his Clothes & bedding were probably his go-to way of hiding it,
but I suppose that doesn't mean he never buried any, I guess :dontknow:

built outside town, and off the beaten path.


property on the west side may make it worthwhile

And they buried him in his favorite clothes which they forgot to check before burial. My dad pastored a church and one of the older ladies died from the church. She had no known family so he was asked to remove her personal items from the rent property. My mother and father went over to clean out the closet and found thousand of hundred dollar bills sewed into old coats. Interesting that suddenly family showed up after that from what I remember.

I Would imagine in this case Everything that could be Checked was.
I'm still trying to Get Confirmation the J. Miller in Donaldson was Julius.
I'm having my Doubt since he rented a room at The Eagle 00seven.jpg
{oct. 09, 1897}May have Just been for the Business But hasn't been made clear in the newspapers
where he Actually Lived
