The bracelet may have been found.
Though the years don't exactly match, that could just be a typo.
[FONT=&quot]"POTTSVILLE (PA.) REPUBLICAN & EVENING HERALD - TUESDAY, JULY 24, 2001 5 Owner grateful to all for bracelet' s return To the Editor ' How do you thank someone for finding a bracelet that was lost for 56 years? . To think that after all these years Dean A. Reinbold, Ravine, would go to Sweet Arrow Lake with his metal detector and find this bracelet. The bracelet was black from being underwater and in the mud all those years. All Dean could make out was the name Mai Weaver. Not knowing who that was, Dean showed it to a man who was standing near him and that man knew who Mai Weaver was. He told Dean that she lived near his relatives at Willow Lake and he explained to Dean how to find the house. Then he left without telling Dean who he was."

"[FONT=&quot]In mid-June, draining of the lake began, preliminary to a reconstruction of the dam, part of plans to make Sweet Arrow the first piece of a countywide park system. Since then, hobbyists with metal detectors have been combing the lake bottom. Some are looking for a little extra cash, others like Dean A. Reinbold, Ravine, who found the parachutist's bracelet Mai Weaver Bartram's husband had given her in 1945 simply enjoy returning mementos to their owners."
