30°58'53.91"N x 97°24'26.70"W is general location according to the legends. But rivers and streams do move.

Also a book called Dig Here! by Thomas Penfield, pages 140-143 tell of the legend and the area.

Thanks mrhinman, those coordinates were pretty much right on, just to the west of them were the confluence of what looks like three rivers or creeks, hard though to identify the Little River.

I am looking for a digital copy of the painting that is on the ceiling of the Steinheimer Bar in the Westing La Cantera Resort. Does anyone have a copy of this to share as I am unable to visit the resort in person. Thanks much
