Shenandoah County Courthouse, Woodsock, VA Tale of Buried Treasure
Dare I say, With all the Greed in Government.
My guess this was Dug up immediately & Hushed up
at the same time.
But Interesting Tale
The times dispatch. (Richmond, Va.), 23 Feb. 1914.

 Jeff
Jeff, with the families that have had power in that area for so long, it is likely that one of their relatives was on whatever was the town council at that time and had a secretive dig done with a buddy or two and for hush money, it was gone and never known. If it was found during a renovation, it would have been tossed into the treasury and used for something but with family in that town and seeing how things run now, if they were anything of the same then, it was gone shortly after the note came to light if not found before then.
