What's the point of having a symbol buried in a rock that you can't even see unless you standing on top of it? Shouldn't that basically tell you that you are AT the spot?

Get a snorkle... go for a swim... maybe the treasure of the tiny turtle is in the water there.

I am glad that you took the pic of the turtle "in situ" i.e. as you found it in the hole, because
the compass degree that the the turtle head is "pointing" - is the direction that you want to follow
to the next sign. The turtle is small so the next sign will not be that far away , is my guess.
good luck, ilyes let us know what the next sign is that you find and if you need help.......

Disappointment I can relate to . Fact remains that you followed the signs and found where it had been . Next time may be different .

llyes,
Take solice in the fact that your sign readings are correct
and that sooner or later, you will find one that was overlooked
and your turn will come.
Also be sure that the broken jar was not evidence of it being
gone, perhaps a decoy to make you think that.
I would still take the compass heading of the turtles head
and go across the water to the other side and see if you
find a sign of any kind, it is worth a shot!
Then you can confirm that it is still there or the trail
continues on, many time false endings or false trails are used
to throw off or lose the unwary.
At this point you have nothing to lose.
hope this helps

I wonder then, why they left the little turtle behind - the statue must be worth something...
maybe the turtle was the treasure.
