I was unsure where to post this and if it needs to be moved I'm fine with that .
Been teaching my 8yr old , 70lb grandson how to handle big rock with hand tools and brain power .
Before I picked him up at the schoolbus stop this evening I spent 40 minutes drilling two runs of 4"
deep holes in sandstone 3/4"diameter , 5' runs , 12" wide with a hammer drill and carbide bit .
Regret that I didn't take pictures of him setting his own feathers and wedges .
He spent 50 minutes breaking out a half ton of rock by himself that we will refine into dimension stone for his grandma's garden beds . He thought it beat heck out of watching TV .

Thanks . That's the future of our country and I'm doing what I can to teach all the kids how to survive and look for treasure .

Thanks , buddy . Many folks are missing the irony of my post .
If an 8yr old can do this with hand tools with just a little guidance , what rock could stand in the way
of a few adults that want to think about goal instead of obsticle ?
I'm teaching him that what is in your way can be defeated by using your mind more than your back .
He didn't even break a sweat moving those rocks . Heaviest thing he lifted was the long prybar after he broke out the rock with a 3# hammer tapping with one hand .
