Interesting Rock

OK, this is for all of you that have given me a hard time about NOT getting out in the field :D

I ran across this rock that has some carvings.
They didn't come out to well in my photos, so I may have to go back and take some better ones.
I believe that the date is 1955 or 1956.
This would not indicate anything old to me, but the hole (drill hole?), peaks my interest.

Any and all comments are welcome, and thanks for looking :)

I think what you got there TW is some good ole 1950s graffiti. ;D
The drill hole was prolly just left from a quarry where the rock was part of a bigger blast. But hey you never know. Personally I treat all these things with a really skeptical eye. Most times a rock is a rock, even when inscribed by some latent artist.
