Gold posy ring dating from 1650 unearthed in Warwickshire field

[FONT=&quot]A unique gold ring that’s hundreds of years old has been unearthed by an amateur metal detectorist in Warwickshire.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Guy Gordon was searching land near a manor house when he found it on pastureland, buried about seven inches deep in the dirt.

I can say I would love to go there. I need to go to the bank and get in my safety deposit box, and send a pic of the gold wedding band I found with a Civil War soldiers initials, along with his new bride, and 1861 as a date on it. It’s the first solid gold ring I’ve found from the civil war. Others I’ve found haven’t turned out so fairly in the soil, and the pretty metal it once was is now a dull rough copper look, possibly zinc
