I have a 8" trommel . LasVegas. Decide on keeping it .

Frame has been modified to be broken down for handling and loading . Two hand tight bolts to assemble and brake down .

Here they are . . It can be used to classify dry or use wet . I added a vibrator to feed wen dry . All switched . Cover to keep the little ones fingers out . I placed 1/4 screen inside for fine gold . Just rolled and placed in side no tricks . Brakes down to carry and haul . Possibly in a large trunk of a car . Hose and pump also .

Hey jair.......that trommel looks good the way you are able to break it down.....

I just finished building one similar to the javeline and when I get it set up properly and "tuned" in, I'm probably gonna do the same thing to mine for moving it around......getting too old to be lifting this stuff any more (68). Let me ask ya.....what amount of angle do you set your trommel at? I've been using 6-8 degrees and it seems to do okay. I've always used my highbanker (diy) and that has always done me good and plenty of water running. I can adjust all my water inputs individually and that really makes a difference too. Just curious how you set yours up, and appreciate any info you can throw my way.......appreciate the articule you wrote up about yours. Thanks......

Bill , that's a nice pice of equipment you have made ,
I'll be 57 shortly , and yes I to feel all the weight , including buckets ,
As far as angles I always let the material dictate the angles needed ,
I have a Thompson dry washer and mostly use my trammel as a 1/4 " classifier , I cam move a lot more dirt and faster that way , Hauled 40 gallons by hand 1/8 mile once to a site to us my trammel . The water went fast , in a couple hours , after that I felt it was not worth using water unless I was on water be it a creek , river or lake , So I done some modifications to the trammel .
I works wonders now , wet or dry ,
