Question about Yorktown

Hello everyone!
This my first post and I'm MD'ing after 20 break.
I used to MD the beach near the old Post Office in Yorktown without any trouble but I heard they moved the PO and made a lot of changes.

Does anyone know if Yorktown has passed any ordinances against metal detecting? Hopefully the Feds haven't included that in the Park.

I went to Yorktown yesterday and got my answer. it's OK on the main beach from the bridge to the pier.

I had a good day. A couple hundred wrappers, a couple dozen bottle tops. 47 twist ties...and a penny!
Not bad for 4 hours work.
