Hey guys, girlfriends out of town and I went to a few garage and estate sales today. Ended up picking up this ring set, which I know nothing about. The inside says 14KPATFL-8 then on the other side it has a 3 in a circle. It in the what in guessing is original jewelry box.
I'm looking for a value and what those numbers mean, I got the 14K part but the rest I have no idea. I'm guessing it's 40-50s?
Thanks

From what I could find, it appears that the 14K PAT FL-8 means that the ring is 14K Gold, Patented and the style number of the Manufacturer is FL-8. Not sure what the "3" in a circle would mean. You might check with some big Jewelry Stores (Jared's, Kay's, etc.) to verify this and they might be able to tell you who made the ring. If just seeking information and not an appraisal, then they will not charge you, well at least not around here.

Thank you. Thats about the same that I could find. I read fl might mean flawless for the diamond and the size could be 8. Which if it is flawless, I think I did ok at $200. I'm going to go to Jared tonight to get it cleaned and ask a few questions. I've boughten a lot of stuff from them, and my mom is coming with to get a ring with a loose stone she got from them fixed. So I hope they don't charge.
Thanks again

Just got back from Jared, the jeweler said the markings are just the from the maker and don't mean anything, except obviously the 14k. The one with the stone the stone is loose, but is only $40 to fix. I asked for a value and he had to ask his manager. She said the one with the diamond is worth $400 but he didn't ask about the other one. I don't think I did too bad considering I only paid $200, when they where asking $540.
Thanks for the help

Congrats on a decent score! After looking at the ring set again, I noticed that is almost identical to the set I gave my now ex-wife. It appears that a hook on the Engagement ring hooks into the tiny slot on the side of the Wedding ring to hold them together.

Ya, at 200 I was ok with it, but wouldn't go any higher. They cleaned up pretty good. That's pretty cool they hook together. Thanks for that, I'm sure I would have never figured that out.
