Alexander Letzeiser was an Oklahoma City jeweler and manufacturer of class rings, pins and awards from the early 1910s until his death in 1938.

"The Letzeiser Medals remained the
highest academic achievement
awards bestowed at Central High
School from their inception in 1914
through 1968. And over that time,
the concept had spread to many
other schools and universities and
the term "Letzeiser Awards" had
become synonymous, and remains so
today, with academic excellence."
