WW II promotion papers and books worth?

    Good afternoon folks,
I recently purchased a few items at a local estate sale here in southern California. Do they have any resale value or would it be better off donating them to the local air museum in town? Thanks

They do have value- if a family member searches for it. That's how I was able to get some of my grandfather's wwii effects back in the family. Otherwise, I have no idea what they would go for. Good luck!

I don't believe they are worth anything on the open market. Every officer has those types of papers. The Distinguished Flying Cross is a medal of pretty high distinction.
My 93 year old Dad is a 3 war vet ( WWII, Korea, Viet Nam) Navy fighter pilot. Has all the same stuff including the DFC. That is going to be preserved for the family. I don't know why anyone would sell that type of family history.
