I know WHAT it is, but who made it???????????????????
Yes, it's a spoon and you wouldn't think it would be that hard to find out who made it considering they put their mark on it, but I can't do it. Maybe I'm not smart enough or maybe I don't have enough patience, but it has drove me nuts for the past 2 years not knowing what the @#*^! mark is on this spoon!!!!! Please help a guy out if you can.
+ Spoon has only one mark, a fancy "CB" in a oval.
+ Spoon end looks to be hand carved or tooled.
+ Spoon is engraved with "B H 25 April, 1836", but looks unprofessionally done and I would guess NOT done my the maker, but some one at a later date, whhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiich also leads me to believe the spoon is older than 1836!
Thanks in advance for any information that anyone can provide!

My only guess from that era would be Christopher Burr.

Looks like Thomas Barker or his father Christopher. Click the link and scroll down about halfway.
Nice old spoon. I think I would have to restore that one.

Very cool looking spoon there Mr. Grignon.
Are you considering getting it restored . . . if not you should!
I love hunting old relic sites . . . as I feel
the imprint of past lives often linger there.
I view relic sites as windows to the past, sacred places
in a way, yet at the same time attesting to the reality
that the past is still very much a part of our today!
