    British Empire Buttons Opp shop find

    Hi all, When i have the time i wonder threw the few local opp shops and have a gander threw old buttom jars. These button are not all that old but i would like them ided Please

    Hi tinpan, the third shiny button looks like Royal Navy Reserve early 20th century. Pics of their backs would help alot if you can

    Hi hammered , due to living in a very dusty place my cameras macro doesn,t work as well as it use too but heres the back of the buttons

    From what I can make out "Jennens & Co" up to 1912. The other one I can make out is " J R GAUNT & Son", this was until recent, described as well after 1899. Here is a link for button makers and their dates, cos of the dust in in your lens, (of all the excuses Tinny ), just too much VB in my opinion
