I dont think Colombian Indians had facial hair so Im leaning toward Asian but I could be wrong.

Re: IRON STATUE ,WHAT IS IT
looks like a fertility god (male) statue -- asain possible -- native indain type people seldom had any facial hair , so asian is a better bet that native indain type.

Yeah. My first thought was Cambodian/Khmer. Sure looks Southeast Asian.
Satriani--one thing you might search for is that style of headdress. I couldn't find any like that through quick google searching, but it may be a decent indicator of the location of statue.
I like it!

Good job guys!
I think this is an Indonesian ancestor figurine (adu zatua).

Re: IRON STATUE ,WHAT IS IT
DCMatt: You did the good job. I was only gut guessing. The example you offer seems to be "close enough" but is it done in iron or does the culture work in iron? That is pretty significant, I think. Unless these are modern pieces for ancestor worship. But Indonesia has been very hard core Moslem for some time. I don't know how much tolerence there is , but I am thinking not so much.

Is it iron or bronze? Its not hard to tell the difference. Do you have a magnet?
I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines. I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.

Re: IRON STATUE ,WHAT IS IT
Lost wax is an old method, but it is very commonly used today. In fact, so common that is is a standard way to do things like rings. Odds are your wedding band was cast with the lost wax method.
