Hi all i went out yesterday for a while in a small field and found some flat buttons and lead shots 1 button has a eagle on it standing on a globe ? i see the letters POONS or DOONS ? before i lightly cleaned there was wheat stakes on each side of the button - coin ? , the back i guess ? still has a lot of gold gilt left on it ,any help would be thanked . There was commonly a wreath on old buttons like that. Looks to me like it says LONDON? Interesting button.

*Oh, so Pete agrees with me on the LONDON part, perhaps it says plated, I am not sure.
