Diamond Ring makers mark.

The ring has 27 small diamonds in it 10 are square are those more valuable? also the makers mark looks like M(star) P

Albert, the M*P is probably the makers mark....there are way too many to identify, unless it is one of the famous ones like JA etc.

Did you check the diamonds to see if they are real?

The rectangular stones are called baguettes.

You might want to research Margaret Platero, who signs her jewelry MP. Her jewelry is sterling, but she may also do white gold. Super nice find Breezie
