Solved! Flat Metal Hot Water Bottle? NO IDEA!!!!

I plan to leave most of the stuff I am digging to the local museum and or land owner to display in. That is if I have anything interesting, so please forgive my number of posts, but I don't want to throw something in a scrap iron pile that might be significant to the areas history!

Dug this yesterday, it is a softer metal, not really sure what it is or how to describe it. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

It may be from an old automobile air cleaner from 60's-70's. A rubber hose attached. I had several cars with this type, very common.

I guess you are saying a magnet wont stick so I guess its not from an air cleaner.

I don't know what it is made out of, I had a smashed lantern too, I just meant soft enough to smash... not cast iron. I am kind of a dork, so not always very helpful!
