Help me identyfy military achievement medallion.

    Hi people!
I am trying to locate in the internet data and a picture of the most curious medallion I found recently with my V3i in the beach of Escambron in San Juan. I will try to describe as best I can the description of it since my computer camera broke down on me and I am planning to send it to a Kodak repair shop in U.S. My V3i detected it as a quarter it is made of copper or bronze it is dated 1775 and the year is located under a castle (like the chess rook). On each side of the castle there is what appears like 2 canons or 1 canon and a old gun aside the canon is 3 canon balls and to the right is 2 more on the top of each canon is a stared flag. I presume it is one U.S. flag and the P.R. aside each flag comming from the top of the castle is 2 lances. Comming dead center from the top of the castle comes a pole and what appears to be a bell, from this bell is a banner in oval shape with a unreadable writing(too small to see). The medallion is in a hexagon shape with a loop on the top to wear. In the back it says "FOR MILITARY ACHIEVEMENT" Well I hope with this someone can shead some data on this find its value and historical info. Thanks for your time. your truely Ralph LP/ TA.

The Army Achievement Medal has been in effect since August 1, 1981.
It may be awarded to members of the Armed Forces below the rank of colonel who, while serving in any capacity with the Army in a noncombat area, distinguish themselves by outstanding achievement or meritorious service, but not of a nature that would warrant the award of an Army Commendation Medal.
