    no idea whatsoever, found in an old park in Vancouver, BC in the same area where relics from early-to-mid 1900's were found

    no idea what it came off of, when I dug it in a park it was 4-6 inches down in what seemed to be backfill due to the abundance of nails I kept dodging. I originally thought resistor but have never seen anything like it before...

    have come to the conclusion that it's either a resistor or a fuse, looks like it's attached to a strip of magnesium or similar metal which leads me to believe it's some sort of electrical thermometer. Definitely going in the "odd finds" bin on top of our fridge
