I may just be seeing things in the deformation of a nail that has been in the ground for 200 years but this one seems different than the others, the bottom looks round and maybe hollow? and the top has a little hat shaped deal, its a small item only a few inches long. I may be able to accept its a nail if you guys tell me im seeing things

Wow, now you got me seeing even more things. I enlarged the center photo and I seen the hat but also what looked like a face with eyes, and nose. Little further down looks like maybe hands.

See if you can scrub it up better, and yes the end looks hollow to me too. Try picking dirt out.

if I have tomorrow off ill see if I can get it cleaned off any more and do the magnet test maybe hold it under the detector and see what number rings up.. I thought I was seeing a face too but this forum seems to get a lot of faces and other things on natural objects so I held off on saying as much

ID:	1669419 it doesn’t make any sense to me I have other dug items e.g Radiator cap, washers, and pennies that have been altered to create a hologram effect it’s not from rust as these carvings/engraving are to detailed but it’s hard to get a good photo of them I will keep trying
