Kinda looks like a Confederate Artillery button but I can’t find an example with this font and it’s pretty small. I found it on an old road that has given up lots of relics and coins from 1700’s to present . Any information is appreciated.

I can't find an exact match either. It has similarities to one produced by Dowler in 1949 from an 1869 pattern. with a rim it would probably measure 21-23mm.

Interesting find my friend, did you find it in Mass.?
It sure would be cool if it turned out to be Confederate and found in Mass.

Maybe brought back east as a souvenir by a soldier?

Thank you and yes, Western Massachusetts on the same permission my Massachusetts Militia Shako plate came from. Souvenir would make sense and would be cool as heck. Someone on my instagram suggested the font discrepancy could be a manufacturing flaw. Still a head scratcher for now. Thanks
