Found this MDin today and can not for the life of me figure what it could be. Looked at it with a magnifying glass and it seems if is a small (very small) circuit board under some type of clear material. Clear material has scratches and one small nick. Body is either brass coated or copper coated (has a scratch on one side. Bottom side looks like a battery, but no marks any where. If any one can figure this one out let me know. Looks a little like a flame sensor from a fire eye controller. I've seen a few with the bottom as you describe. It hooks to a wire and looks into a boiler and tells the system when the pilot is burning so it can turn on the main fuel. Its purpose is to prevent a large boiler from getting filled with raw fuel and becoming a bomb. But it could be something completely different. Where did you find it?
Thanks, but there are not wires protruding from it or threads on the main body for fitting into another object. Will take it to work on Tuesday and look under the microscope for more detail. Will post my findings on Wednesday.
maybe it's an alien implant and it fell out of your navel.
Do you have bad dreams and such? And I dont even want to mention anal probes!!!
Ok the alien thing was a bit much just kiddin. I really shouldnt post this late at night!
sorry 49er couldnt help it! lol
If the back is metal, it's an led light that came with a magnet attached to the metal part. You wear them as body jewlery without piercing. They light up.
Promised everyone who has written that I would post more information once I viewed my find under a microscope on Wednesday, well work has kept me busier then expected and will post more details tomorrow. Promise.
What you describe and from as best as I can tell from the picture it is a small LED flasher much like Huizer, vwayne1 and williamtell are talking about. I have one I found last year at a site where an outdoor concert was held. It still works too. The bottom is magnetic and the top if you turn it all the way to the right causes two tiny LED lights (one yellow and one green) to start flashing (twice each) alternately. If you turn it all the way to the left it opens up to reveal the battery compartment. Mine takes two L736 button cell batteries. The batteries are difficult to remove due to the magnet as it holds them in place. I had to use a pair of tweezers to remove them so I could find out what batteries it takes. HH.

nedigger, your right on the money. sorry for the late response but I have been busier than I want to be at work lately and to tell everyone the truth, I forgot it at home all last week. i did look at it with a microscope and only saw one led. after i read nediggers response i twisted it and it came a part. guess the batteries are dead due to no lights appear.
Want to thank everyone who responded to my post. THANKS.
