In 1992 i used my landlords silver eagle and loved it, i can not remember if their were any nobes to adjust but it had the digital screen. I found my first gold ring with it. At that time my dad was using the Whites 6DB with a pin gage. I like that better because i will trust the digital screen and would not dig the the iffy targets. with the pin gage you dig any thing above 5 cents. After that I got the Whites 6000 DI PRO XL it lasted until this summer and started acting funny. I am going to send it in to be repaired. My father let me use His Whites Spectrum witch is similer this year and i found lots of silver dimes, and my first half dime , three gold rings, and a thin gold chain. I think this will be a nice detector and because it is a whites it will last many years.

I cant say that I have many tips on it besides just getting out and learning it! It may take awhile but it is an awesome machine. I wish I still had mine. I think it is just as good as the XLT that I now own.
