I just traded my in, but it was a good unit. The LED's really help in the identification of targets. It is waterproof to 20 feet, but you want to be very careful when you open the battery compartment to replace batteries that no sand or trash gets on the o-ring and that it is replaced properly, if not it will leak.

The good thing is the battery compartment is seperate from the electronics so less chance of damage, but it's never good to leak anywhere.

Are you buying it used or new?

I have decided to buy a Minelab Excalibur 1000 instead. Thanks anyway.
