Whites MXT 300

how do you rate this detector good / bad ? is it still in production ? I wanted to upgrade from my IDX pro . will the mxt 300 really be an upgrade ? Im keeping IDX .thanks

Awesome detector and as deep as any of the high end detectors, they make the MXT all pro which is just an MXT with a ground grab button, multi tones, and a backlit display. I don't really care for the 300 coil (whites 12"coil) as you need really clean ground to take advantage of the depth it can give you, without clean ground you won't get the extra depth because of all the targets under the coil all at once. You can use the same coils as the V3i,VX3,DFX,and the M6. HH

Great machine. just ditch the 12 inch coil and go with a D2. And get a small coil like the 4 X 6 for real trashy areas. It will find the goodies.
