Only had time for a short hunt but got a bouncy 25/26 in a gravel road next to an old school house circa 1890s. Dug down 3/4" and out came this 1917 Merc.
I always forget to check the gravel but with all the rain it was easy to dig.

I can't quite find out what this Shell was fired in, any help to find out what it was used in would be greatly appreciated!
Markings on the Casing:
84 (most likely meaning 84mm I think?)
SP67
St (meaning Strengthened case maybe?)
108 (probably the LOT #)
it also has in big letters...
