I could use a fresh pair of eyes on this little guy.
Seems I've been looking at it so long it's starting to look like the markings of an Escudo.
I'm sure that means I need a break

I don't see the monogam markings, but rather the remnants of the Hapsburg shield with Bourbon element. That would indicate that it would be from during the reign of Philip V and at a minimum 1 Reale. The metal loss would explain a lower weight.

That's part of what has me confused I should have taken into account a lot of loss... Thank you for pointing that out I always expect some metal loss from the beach find this one seems to be quite a bit.
Looking at it with the shield design in mind I'm actually surprised I have the second photo oriented correctly thank you

Ahhha.. I've spent most of my life up and down A1A man.. Years go by that stink sometimes ...stick with it it's the journey not the destination isn't that what they say?
