Hello, I love metal detecting, treasure hunting. I've been doing this now for about 20 years off and on. Yesterday, January 5, 2017, I was detecting around an old tree here in town. I got a coin signal and in shallow ground I dug up a 1946 Wheat Penny. Then about 4 inches to the right of it I got another coin signal. Then I dug in shallow again and retrieved an brass bullet casing in fair condition. The end reads : "Western 1918". Does any one have any history on what I have discovered? Thank you!
